Joshua James’ album “Build Me This” is fantastic; it’s no wonder Paste Magazine gave it 92 out of 100 stars. It’s got emotion, energy, passion and great lyrics. The mix of James’ vibrant vocals with the use of piano, guitar and harmonica create a crisp, emotional folk album that is reminiscent of classic folk singers of the 1960s. James’ passion for his music can be heard- and felt- on each track of the album, and listeners can easily tell he means each and every word he sings.This is actually the first Joshua James album that I have listened to. I don’t really know what took me so long to get on board, but I think it’s safe to say that now I’m hooked. And you can be sure that I’m going to go back to the beginning and listen to each of James’ albums and give them the proper attention they deserve.
