Places - Where I Live - D.C. - Part 3

PART 3 - MUSIC IN D.C.

Believe it or not, Washington, D.C. is home to some fabulous music venues for all kinds of music, including blues and jazz. In fact, it’s home to the nation's oldest continuing jazz supper club, Blues Alley. There’s also the Bohemian Caverns, where almost all the great jazz musicians have performed over the years on its stage, and HR57.
In the summer, the National Gallery of Art hosts free concerts in its famous Sculpture Garden which we really love. For more current music, there’s the 9:30 Club, Black Cat, and the Birchmere. Of course, there is always some awesome stuff going on at the world-renowned Kennedy Center.
